《尚书·旅獒》：“为山九仞，功亏一篑。” 意思是说堆九仞高的土山，只差一筐土而没有堆成。比喻事情最后由于松劲或缺少条件而没有成功。含惋惜之意。仞（rèn）：古时以七尺或八尺为一仞。篑（kuì）：筐。
