獐子的头小而尖，老鼠的眼睛小而圆。形容坏人面目丑陋，神情狡猾。《旧唐书·李揆传》：“龙章凤姿之士不见用，獐头鼠目之子乃求官。”
獐头鼠目 [zhāng tóu shǔ mù]
1. with the head of a buck and the eyes of a rat; contemptible ugly fellow; facial features suggesting cunning and meanness; repulsively ugly and slylooking; the head of a musk deer and the eyes of a rat; rat-eyed and buck-headed獐头小而尖，鼠目小而圆，本形容人的寒贱相，后多用以形容人的面目猥琐、心术不正。
郭澄清《大刀记》：“此人獐头鼠目，秃顶黄胡，名叫马铁德。”
獐头鼠目，脑袋像獐子那样又小又尖，眼睛像老鼠那样又小又圆。形容人相貌丑陋，神情狡猾。近代又生新义，多形容人形容枯槁，素质低下，生性猥琐，爱做苟且之事。
