恙虫

《风俗通》曰：“恙，毒虫也，喜伤人。古人草居露宿，故相劳问，必曰无恙。”恙虫卵孵化成幼虫后，爬行到草地或农作物上，一旦有人坐卧或接触，恙幼虫便爬到人体身上叮咬，病原体进入血液后，出现立克次体血症和毒血症症状，导致机体发生一系列病变。2012年5月有媒体报道广州两市民因被恙虫咬而不治身亡的消息引起民众对恙虫的热议。
